Our Story

Tara Green Hydroponic Farm & Café is the first Hydroponic Garden in Uluwatu with a building concept of merging between Balinese and Tibetan architectural styles, built in 2018 and completed in August 2019. On 11 October 2019 Tara Green Hydroponic Farm & Café was officially opened for general. We have a 16x6m2 greenhouse that is able to produce around 1600 plants. In addition to the hydroponic garden, we also have a café with vegetarian & vegan menus, a variety of healthy juices and coffee and other beverages. We use fresh, organic and high quality ingredients from our garden.

The name Tara Green itself is taken from the word Tara or Ārya Tārā (also known as Jetsun Dolma in Tibetan). Tara or Tara is a sacred figure of a Buddhist woman (Boddhisattva) who is still practiced and preserved as a Buddhist tantra in Tibetan Buddhism. Tara or Goddess Tara is a symbol of freedom / freedom of the soul, and states the success and achievements of a true and sacred life. The Goddess Tara is also a symbol of compassion and emptiness (Śūnyatā, non-existence and worldly impermanence) taught in Buddhism.
